South Miacomet Road

Private Residence

Windy conditions plague this property. And the clients absolutely had to have a swimming pool. A flat plain runs straight to the ocean, and the breezes always run fresh, so to speak. To mitigate the winds, we set the pool down two feet and flanked it with raised berms topped with thick shrubbery so folks could enjoy a quieter microclimate and achieve some privacy too. A summer house for a growing family, we integrated the indoors and out with a dining porch just off the water.

A Place Unto its Own

Plantings form structural edges and screens to give spaces their own sense of character.

Prior Condition

Rather than dig up and dispose of all this native blueberry, we picked it up in patches and transplanted it for later enjoyment.

A New Cabana

On this very tight site, we arranged the buildings to form a well-enclosed courtyard with a piece of water in it.

Very difficult project. David was creative, reliable, and technically expert. We did not get a second quote, David was it.
