Capaum Pond Road

Cape and Islands

No more scratching chickens. The pigs are all gone at Capaum Pond Road (except for those at the place down the road). And a relic carriage sits idle in the barn. The muddy duck splash became a cement pond with steps, and warm buttermilk has given way to bone-dry gin martinis. The owner posed a challenge to create separate spaces for kids, adults, and guests, with the sense of a singular, well-integrated overall composition. She told us that we succeeded hands down.

Open Space to Enjoy

Whether observing the gardens from inside, or breaking out to turn the soil or entertain, we anticipate and provide for your needs.

Structures Help Form Spaces

By creating hierarchies of space – for lounging, passing through, working or playing – we collaborate with building architects to site homes and pavilions to serve many purposes.

Project Lead

David Bartsch

I hired David’s firm to work on three projects that I built – a small house squeezed into a tight property with beautiful outdoors, a spec house that turned out great, and one on Capaum Pond Road – another beautiful project. David was efficient, very creative, and professional all the way. Looking forward to the next one.
