Lily Street
A new family moved into this old farm house on the edge of town. The house had to be completely renovated, but keep its exterior appearance of the original c. 1789 structure. This called for a complementary landscape that fit the family's needs and lifestyle. A 15' drop from the street to the back of the house called for terraces and steps to render the slopes navigable and to create spaces. Views to the lower conservation land were retained, privacy from the popular street was augmented, and a range of places were created, each with a different sense of character. Outdoor dining is integrated with the magnificent new porch off the home, personalized details ensure the new family feels at home, and unique materials make this landscape special throughout. In collaboration with Design Associates (Architects), Mark Godfrey (General Contractor), Jon Wisentaner (landscape contractor). Concept through construction - total landscape project costs: ~ $240k in 2021
